We offer a unique Chiropractic specialty, which utilizes exercise, traction, and massage in conjunction with chiropractic adjustments. The Banic Team
Dr. Tony Banic
Dr. Ante “Tony” Banic grew up in Seward, AK, the first of his family born in the United States. After high school, he moved to Seattle to pursue his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Seattle University. After graduation, he worked for the Dynacare Laboratory at Swedish Hospital and then moved on to a private lab in Redmond, where he created novel probiotic formulas for preventative health in humans and animals. As he developed a true understanding of the power of preventative health, he knew that becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic would allow him to impact even more lives. He graduated Palmer College of Chiropractic with honors, and his passion for Chiropractic propelled him to further certifications and honors in specialized chiropractic techniques, Pettibon and Clinical BioMechanics of Posture. With two young kids, he doesn’t have a spare moment. He enjoys mountain biking, hiking and skiing with his kids, and spending time with extended family.
Rachel was raised locally in Redmond, Washington. She graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, as well as receiving minors in Biology and Psychology. During college she was on the Crimson Girls Dance Team and has a real passion for dancing and cheering. Currently, she is a high school cheer coach and loves teaching young athletes. She also loves to ski and you will find her on the mountain any chance she gets.
Licensed Massage Therapist
Sports have always been a big part of Kelly’s life. She was a competitive gymnast for 12 years and has been coaching gymnastics ever since graduating from Issaquah High School in 2003. She is currently the head coach at Mt Si High School. She has always been fascinated with kinesiology and participated in the sports medicine program at Issaquah high school for 3 years. Massage seemed like a perfect career fit, since it involves her love for being active while staying intrigued by how the body and muscles work. She graduated from Bellevue Massage School in December of 2015 and has been with Banic Chiropractic and Massage since Sept of 2018. Her massage philosophy is to work with the client to achieve the most pain relief without causing pain or discomfort during treatment. Kelly and her husband are big Seahawks fans and season ticket holders and love to travel for a yearly away game, and recently got season tickets for the Seattle Kraken hockey team. When she is not watching sports, she loves traveling to Cresecent Bar, in Eastern Washington, to play in the sun and the sand. She has 2 boys that keep her busy all day/everyday!
Ideal Protein Coach
Anna grew up in Connecticut and attended UCONN. She graduated with a master's degree in education and after teaching middle school for 8 years, she became a stay-at-home mom and raised her two children. Once they were older and in school, it was time for a new career. Anna always had an interest and passion for health and nutrition, so when given the opportunity to become an Ideal Protein coach, she took it. Anna has been with Banic Chiropractic for almost 4 years and has helped hundreds of clients reach their weight-loss goals. She enjoys working with people and develops great relationships with her clients. In Anna's free time, she loves traveling, wine-tasting, hiking, spending time on the beach and reading in the sun.
Cathy Springman, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist
An athlete who has experienced the benefits of massage and bodywork in her athletic training and life, Cathy is a Licensed Massage Therapist in California and Washington. A graduate of Discovery Point School of Massage in Seattle, she has practiced in chiropractic and physical therapy clinic settings. Cathy works collaboratively with clients to meet their goals, and strives for clients to leave their therapy session energized and feeling better. Undergraduate degrees in Sports Sciences and Communications led to her previous career in sports and event marketing, where she produced corporate and participant events from The Olympic Games to the Danskin Women’s Triathlon. She believes in making physical activity and nature a part of everyday life, and is an avid hiker, runner, skier, cyclist and Pilates enthusiast. In her massage practice, Cathy focuses on sports and treatment massage, stress relief, myofascial, and trigger point therapies. Treatment philosophy: Helping you move, heal and get all you want out of life without restrictions.
Ideal Protein Coach
Ivonne was born in Cuba and raised in Northern California where she grew up, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Santa Clara University, and worked at Hewlett Packard, Compaq and numerous technology startups. She moved 14 years ago to the PNW and fell in love with the beauty of the area. Ivonne struggled for10 years to lose the weight she gained after having children, until a friend recommended the Ideal Protein Program. She lost 30+ pounds, became an avid evangelist for the program and joined Banic Chiropractic. She received certification from Ideal Protein in 2015 and developed a deep passion for helping our clients lose weight and lead healthier lives. Ivonne believes it’s crucial to listen and get know each of her clients personally, so she can create an individualized plan for success. When not at work, Ivonne is spending time with her family on Lake Sammamish boating and wakesurfing , or traveling in search of amazing food and wine experiences.

Melinda was born and raised in Florida, moved to Princeton, New Jersey and finally settled in Issaquah 25 years ago. She always says she felt like she found nirvana in the Pacific Northwest being a skier, hiker and lover of nature. With a passion for cooking and a lifelong struggle with weight, she understands the challenges of weight loss. Emotional eating, nightly medicating with alcohol and celebrating with food is a battle. Throw in an aging metabolism to the mix and you need a coach! Melinda brings a no shame, motivating and fun relationship with her clients. She takes such pride in her client's new found health and being their best self. A lover of dogs, her husband of over 30 years, their two boys, shopping and talking about how to be your best self.
Clinic Admin Specialist
Makailah is a California native raised in the beautiful PNW. She has worked in customer service under a management position for the last 8 years. Makailah joined the Banic Chiropractic Family in 2016 and thoroughly enjoys the relationships she creates with our patients! Aside from helping patients, Makailah loves to talk to patients about their travel adventures, as traveling is a huge passion of hers! Her other passions and interests include Harry Potter (Gryffindor), video games, art, and the rescue and rehabilitation of chimpanzee's. One of Makailah's favorite quotes (due to her spontaneous nature) is from the movie We bought a Zoo: “You know, sometimes all you need is 20 seconds of insane courage, just literally 20 seconds of embarrassing bravery, and I promise you something great will come of it.”
