Drs. Leslie and Tony Banic were born and raised in the Pacific Northwest.
Tony studied Biology and received his Bachelor of Science through Seattle University. Leslie earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Northern Arizona University. They met while working for a private laboratory in Redmond. |

After four years of study, Drs. Leslie and Tony Banic graduated Magna Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic. They were each awarded the Certificate of Merit for Clinical Excellence and Leadership.
In addition, they have advanced certification in Clinical Biomechanics of Posture through National University of Health Science and Chiropractic BioPhysics Non-Profit, Inc. Due to outstanding contributions to the afore-mentioned group, Dr. Tony Banic was awarded “Outstanding Achievement Award - 2001” and both Leslie and Tony were invited to become Distinguished Fellows within the organization. They are also members of the Washington State Chiropractic Association, Issaquah Kiwanis, and Greater Issaquah Chamber of Commerce.

The Current Status of Chiropractic
Although chiropractic is categorized as an alternative medicine, the profession has become mainstream, in part because of a number of recent studies that have shown it to be clinically effective in treating many health problems.
These include; low back and leg pain, headache, neck pain and postural asymmetries and their associated pain and stress syndromes.
Changes in health insurance coverage indicate this shift in perspective as well. Coverage of chiropractic care is offered by almost every health care and automobile insurance organization and is included in state, military, and federal benefits packages.
Widespread interest in chiropractic has flagged the industry for study by the government, the private sector, and organized medicine. These studies have found chiropractic to be efficacious in the treatment of a myriad of musculoskeletal conditions and diagnosed health problems.
Chiropractic has been shown to effectively prevent the need for surgery in many cases, increase return to work, and to provide relief to people of all ages.
The cost effectiveness and patient satisfaction reported with chiropractic care are the best in the healthcare industry as a whole.
